Yasho TechFest 2k25 Event

 

 

 

Date-18 March 2025.

Venue- Yashoda Technical Campus.

Time- 10:00 am onwards

 

            The Yasho TechFest 2025 was successfully organized on 18th March 2025 at YTC Campus as a state-level event. The event was conducted under the coordination of the student associations from various departments, aiming to provide a platform for students to showcase their technical and creative skills. The fest witnessed participation from various colleges across the state, with approximately 750 students actively taking part in different competitions and activities.

Overview of the Event

Yasho TechFest featured a variety of competitions and activities organized by different departments to encourage student participation, innovation, and teamwork. The festival witnessed enthusiastic involvement from students across disciplines.

Electrical Department Contribution

The inauguration of the Electrical Department of Polytechnic events was done by Prof. S. N. Jamadar ma’am.

The Electrical Department of Polytechnic actively participated in the event by organizing two major competitions:

  1. Quiz Competition: A technical quiz designed to test students' knowledge in electrical engineering and general aptitude.
  2. Free Fire Game: A gaming competition that attracted numerous participants and showcased students' strategic and teamwork abilities.

Both events received an overwhelming response from students, making the fest more engaging and interactive.

Conclusion

Yasho TechFest 2025 was a grand success, bringing together students from various colleges across the state to compete and collaborate in a spirit of learning and innovation. The efforts of the organizing teams, along with active student participation, contributed to the event's success. Such initiatives help foster a vibrant academic and extracurricular culture on campus.




 Industrial Visit o to Railway Station, Kshetra Mahuli, Satara

Railway Station Visit 

            The Department of Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Polytechnic), YTC, Satara arranged an Industrial Visit on 08th March, 2025 to Railway Station, Kshetra Mahuli, Satara for Students of SY & TY (Electrical).

Objectives of Visit:

  • To get information and Practical Working of Electric Train and Signalling in Train
  • To understand the working of Traction Systems.
  • To collect technical information related to components of trains.

The Single Phase 25 KW Power for the Electric Traction is obtained from 132 KV Extra High Voltage 3-phase grid System through step-down single-phase transformers. For this purpose, duplicate feeders comprising of only 2 phases are used for the nearest grid substation of the Supply Authority to the traction substation. students also got the information about Control panel, Back-up supply from the transportation Incharge.

          The visit was coordinated by Ms. K. B. Kamble under the course Utilization of Electrical Engineering (Course Code:314323). Total 73 students from SY & TY Class had the opportunity to gain the practical exposure through this visit. Station Manager Mr. Pravin Salve interacted with the students regarding their doubts and understanding the processes. Students also got the opportunity to discuss about Railway Competitive exams.

Ajinkyatara Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Satara

ASPL Satara Visit 

            The Department of Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Polytechnic), YTC, Satara arranged an Industrial Visit on 08th March, 2025 to Ajinkyatara Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Satara for Students of SY & TY (Electrical).

Objectives of Visit:

  • To understand the working of different machines utilized under panels.
  • To observe the process of designing the panel.
  • To understand the applications of panels in different fields.

          The visit was coordinated by Ms. B. P. Kumbhar under the course DC Machines & Transformers (Course Code: 314322). Total 73 students from SY & TY Class had the opportunity to observe and study high-quality industrial panels through this visit. The manager, Mr. Ajay Dhane interacted with the students regarding different panels such as APFC, VFD, PCC, MCC etc. Students also got the opportunity to see different types of enclosures provided by the company. It included wall mounting enclosures, floor standing enclosure etc. 


FDP Program

Faculty of Electrical Polytechnic Department conducted Three Days faculty development program on "Industry Automation & PLC Programming” Two  eminent experts invited to share their wisdom and vast experience on the topic.

 

Day 1:

First Day Of  FDP  Was Conducted On The Subject "Technology enhanced learning in the field of  Industrial Automation ” In Online Mode On 03/03/2025.  Resource Person was Mr. Amit B. Jadhav, HOD & Assistant Professor at Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Kolhapur . He Guided All Participants About Role of Engineer in Industrial Automation. Introduction Of Resource Person Was Done by Prof. V. V. Gaikwad, Lecturer at Electrical Polytechnic also Prof B. P. Kumbhar HOD of Electrical Polytechnic Department YSPM’S YTC Satara guided all the Participats. Workshop Was Coordinated by Prof. K. B. Kamble.

Mr. A. B. Jadhav sir discuss about enhance learning system in Industrial Automation, He highlighted the importance of Industrial Automation. The Session was End by vote of thanks which is given by Prof. P. S. Pawar.

Day 2 :

Second day of FDP was conducted on the subject “Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers” in online mode on 04/03/2025. Resource person Mr.T.J.Inamadar , Director of Squarewave Automation Pvt.ltd.Satara..He guided all participants about constitutes of PLC, history of Automation, Working Principles and Architecture of PLCs. Introduction of resource person was done by Prof B.P. Kumbhar, HOD  at Electrical Engineering Department YSPM’S YTC satara. Workshop was coordinated by Prof. K. B. Kamble.  

Day 3 :

  • Third day of FDP was conducted on the subject “Understanding PLC Memory Structure” in online mode on 05/03/2025. Resource person .T.J.Inamadar , Director of Squarewave Automation Pvt.ltd.Satara. He guided all participants about Basics of PLC Programming & Logic Development.Introduction of resource person was done by Prof. B. P. Kumbhar  HOD of Electrical Engineering Department YSPM’S YTC Satara. Workshop was coordinated by Prof. K. B. Kamble.


Student Development Program

Embedded System Development and Programming Using 8051

The Department of Electrical Engg, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC Satara, arranged a three days student development program from 3rd  March, 2025 to 5th March, 2025 on topic "Embedded System Development and Programming Using 8051" featured our chief guest, Mr. Prathmesh Joshi, R & D Head, Aptron Technology, Satara and Mr. Chaitanya More, Production Engineer, Aptron Technology, Satara.

The SDP was aimed at enhancing students' understanding of embedded systems, focusing on the 8051 microcontroller. The program provided both theoretical and practical knowledge, offering hands-on experience in programming and developing embedded systems.

Day 1: Introduction to Embedded Systems and 8051 Microcontroller Architecture

The first day of the SDP began with an introduction to embedded systems, covering the definition, characteristics, and real-world applications of embedded systems.

Day 2: Embedded System Programming

On the second day, the students were introduced to assembly language programming for the 8051 microcontrollers. Concepts such as data transfer, arithmetic operations, and branching instructions were covered, providing students with the foundational skills required to write programs for embedded systems.

Day 3: Hands-On Lab

The students worked on tasks like programming the 8051 to blink an LED, read input from switches, and use timers for creating time delays. The program wrapped up with a prize distribution ceremony.


Marathi Bhasha Din

Introduction:
Marathi Bhasha Din is celebrated on 27th February every year to honor the contribution of the renowned Marathi linguist, poet, and scholar, Vishnu Wagh, who was a great advocate for the promotion of the Marathi language. The day serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and promoting the Marathi language in our daily lives, education, and culture.

On February 27, 2025, Yashoda Technical Campus (Polytechnic) hosted a vibrant celebration to mark this special occasion. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of Marathi in the educational and cultural context, while also fostering a sense of pride among students and staff about the language.

 

Event Overview:

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, followed by a few words about the importance of Marathi Bhasha Din. The principal emphasized the need for preserving regional languages, particularly Marathi, in the face of globalization.

Various activities were organized throughout the day, including:

 

  1. Literary programs:
    Students presented a poem on "Aai", Marathi Majhi bhasha". They presented an essay on " Marathi bhashecha Gaurav " , the beloved king "Chatrapati shivaji maharaj" & " Mulya shikshanachi garaj". The event was well-received by students who actively participated.
  2. Cultural events::

Students & Teachers presented Muktchand Poetry "Nadi milataa sagara", "He Chandra Surya Tare",  "Abhiman pinjara Todnyacha". They presented a one-act play "Mulinche Ayushya (Acid Attack).This program encouraged creativity while also emphasizing the significance of the Marathi language.

 

Conclusion:
The Marathi Bhasha Din celebration at Yashoda Technical Campus was a successful event that not only celebrated the rich heritage of the Marathi language but also encouraged students to take pride in their linguistic and cultural identity. Through various interactive and informative activities, the event served as a reminder to all attendees of the importance of preserving and promoting Marathi in every aspect of life.

Introduction

The Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, organized a vibrant Cultural Days Celebration YASHOTSAV2K25 as per the schedule mentioned in the notice with great enthusiasm and participation from students, faculty, and staff. This annual event aimed to celebrate diversity, promote cultural awareness, and foster unity among students from different backgrounds.

Event Highlights

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the Principal, who emphasized the significance of cultural diversity in education. This was followed by a vibrant ram walk showcasing traditional attire from various cultures, allowing students to appreciate the richness of different traditions.

 

Schedule of Events: The cultural days were celebrated on the following dates:

 

Saree/Tie Day (February 25, 2025 - Tuesday)

Students and faculty participated enthusiastically by dressing in traditional sarees and formal ties, embracing elegance and professionalism.

The event highlighted cultural appreciation and formal dressing tradition.

 

Bollywood Day/Idol Day/Mismatch Day/Group Day/Twins Day/Chocolate Day

(February 27, 2025 - Thursday)

The day featured multiple exciting themes:

Bollywood Day – Students dressed as famous Bollywood celebrities and performed dialogues, dance routines, and mimicry.

Idol Day – Participants dressed as their favourite idols, including national leaders, celebrities, and inspirational figures.

Mismatch Day – A fun and creative event where students wore mismatched outfits, creating a humorous and lively atmosphere.

Group Day – Friends and classmates dressed in coordinated outfits to represent unity and teamwork.

Twins Day – Pairs of students dressed identically, adding an element of fun and bonding.

Chocolate Day – Students exchanged chocolates as a gesture of friendship and appreciation.

 

Traditional Day (February 28, 2025 - Friday)

The final day of the celebration focused on embracing India's rich cultural heritage.

Students and faculty wore traditional attire representing different regions of the country.Various cultural performances, including folk dances and music, were organized to highlight India's diversity.

 

Conclusion

The YASHOTSAV2K25 Cultural Days Celebration was a grand success, fostering creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation among students. The event provided an engaging platform for students to express themselves through fashion, performances, and social interactions, making it a memorable experience for all.


PARENT MEETING PROGRAM

               A parent-teacher meeting was conducted on 18th February, 2025 at 11:00 AM. 20+ parents were reported for the meeting. The parents were intimated through the respective Guardian Faculty Member (GFMs) of the department.

The Parent Meeting was conducted as per following schedule:

  • Registration of parents at the registration desk at 11:00 am.
  • Felicitation of Toppers done by respected Principal Prof. Gavade P.P. Sir & Central Academic Coordinator Mr. Khandekar Sir
  • Commencement of Parent Meeting with speech of Principal Prof. Gavade P.P. Sir.
  • Parent representative -Mr. Mahendra Pangare shared his valuable opinions about the institute and department.
  • Vote of thanks to the parents.
  • Conclusion of meeting at 12:00 pm followed by refreshment to parents.
  • HOD & staff members discussed with parents about students’ attendance, Exam Marks, Academic Progress, Traning placement in college.

The department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC, Satara arranged Parents meeting program for the students Parents of SY & TY class om 25th October, 2024 under the guidance of Principal Prof. P. P. Gavade.

This Program will help students Academic progress, attendance, behaviors & social skills, Extracurricular activity, learning strategies, Goals setting, confidence building.

The objectives of this Parents meeting:

This parents' meeting is arranged to strengthen communication between teachers and parents, discuss students' progress, address any concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support each student's growth and success. efficient lighting solutions, making them more competitive in the job market and more knowledgeable about sustainable technologies.

 


Industrial Visit Report

The Department of Electrical Engineering,Faculty of Polytechnic, had organised an industrial visit to Maharashtra state Electricity Distribution Co.Ltd(MSEDCL),33/22 KV, Kalambe substation,on 22/10/2024 for second year and third year students.  It was Coordinated with Ms.Kamble K.B. and Mr,Kadam S.D. around 68 Student of the SY & TY class grasped this opportunity.the Objectives of the Visit were

1. To learn different components utilized in substation

2. To interpret single line Diadram of Various devices Avaliable in the Substation

3. To understand the best and sustainable practices in running a substation .

Guest lecture Program on “Energy Conservation and Audit”for the students of SY & TY class
on 18 th October , 2024.
The Energy conservation and audit part was delivered by resource person Mr. P. S. Mali.
(Assistance Professor),), ADCET, Ashta.
The objectives of this Expert lecture were:
• To provide practical knowledge on the Energy conservation and Audit.
• To enhance students' skills in working with Energy conservation through cogeneration and
tariff.
• To learn students with energy audit report of electrical
This program provided students with valuable knowledge experience in a growing field.
The program equipped them with the skills needed to contribute to Energy Conservation and
Audit, making them more competitive in the job market and more knowledgeable about
sustainable energy practices.
Our guest delivered an excellent for the younger generation of Engineers. They pointed out
the importance of honesty, Confidence, efforts and leadership skills for the emerging Electrical
engineers to raise their career. It was a great experience for our students to have an interaction
with technical.

Student Development Program on “LED Lamp Assembling, Testing & Maintenance”

The department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC, Satara arranged a Two Day’s Student Development Program on “LED Lamp Assembling, Testing & Maintenance” for the students of SY & TY class from 27th to 28th September, 2024 under the guidance of Principal Prof. P. P. Gavade on the occasion of Yashoda Foundation month. 

         The Assembling and Testing part was delivered by resource person Dr. M. D. Patil (Associate Professor), and maintenance part was delivered by Mr. R. B. Madake (Assistant Professor), ADCET, Ashta.

         The objectives of this SDP were:

  • To provide practical knowledge on the assembly, testing, and maintenance of LED lamps.

  • To enhance students' skills in working with energy-efficient lighting solutions and understanding LED technology.

  • To familiarize students with real-world applications of LED systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial lighting.

This program provided students with valuable practical experience in a growing field. The program equipped them with the skills needed to contribute to energy-efficient lighting solutions, making them more competitive in the job market and more knowledgeable about sustainable technologies.

        

 

 


Engineer’s Day program

      The Electrical Department, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC satara, celebrate Engineers day on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of India’s most prominent engineer Dr.Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya in the remembrance of their remarkable works in engineering field. Our Electrical Dept. celebrates this occasion every year with full of enthusiasm.

  The guest lecture arranged was “Professional Skills for Advanced Design & Embedded Technology.” We were fortunate to have our chief guest as Associate Manager Mr. Kishor Podtar, (Embtech Consumer Electronics & Software, Reasearch Development Team)

The guest for the program were felicitated by Principal sir Mr. Gavade P. P (Faculty of Polytechnic).  The program was organized by Electrical Engineer Students Association (EESA).Some students shared their opinion of in form of speeches about the Dr.Mokshagumdam Vishweshvaraya.Our chief guest delivered an excellent for the younger generation of Engineers. They pointed out the importance of honesty, Confidence, efforts and leadership skills for the emerging Electrical engineers to raise their career.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

    The Department of Electrical, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC satara celebrates Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and appreciation on 5th of September 2024. The program was organized by TY students under guidance of (EESA). Students took the initiative to plan and execute the entire event. They coordinated various activities, showcasing their respect and admiration for their teachers. TY students Namrata Mane, Shreya Kadam, Vaishnavi Pangare taught Subjects as EMW, EEM, ECN to SY students. Selected students delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on the invaluable lessons learned from their teachers.

Skills Development

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (Faculty of Polytechnic) organized a guest lecture on August 16, 2024, at 4:00 PM. This event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. P. P. Gavade and TPO Head Prof. Kharaje sir. The guest speaker, Mr. Sachin, provided valuable insights to the students of TY on the topic of "Skills Development." He elaborated on various subjects, including future skills and qualifications required for different positions, exploration of various career paths and job roles, and more. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. R. D. Mohite.

 


Induction Program for Faculty of Polytechnic.

The Department of General Science & Humanity and Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Polytechnic, YTC, Satara, organized a Faculty Induction Program under the guidance of Hon. Principal Pro. P. P. Gavade, on 02nd August, 2024 to provide detailed guidance on the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) documentation process. The induction aimed to familiarize faculty members with NBA standards and improve their understanding of the documentation required for the accreditation process.

Department of Electrical Engineering organised One day Railway Station Visit at Kshetra Mauli Satara           on date 27th February 2024.Resource Persons Mr. Rajkumar Salave (Station Manager) & Engineer Mukeshkumar shares their valuable knowledge with the students. Total count of student is 20.

Department of Electrical Engineering organised “Parent Teacher Meeting” on 24th February 2024 at Electrical Engineering Department (Poly)YTC Satara to discuss academic progress, campus behaviour, regular attendance & queries.


Industrial Visit to MSEDCL substation, Karanje.

The Department of Electrical Engineering (Polytechnic), had organised an industrial visit to MSEDCL substation, karanje on 13/10/2023 for second year and third year students.  It was Coordinated with Ms. Kamble K.B. and Mrs. Kenjale T.S. Around 79 Student of the SY & TY class grasped this opportunity. The Objectives of the Visit were:

1. To learn different components utilized in substation

2. To interpret single line Diagram of Various devices available in the Substation

3. To understand the best and sustainable practices in running a substation  

  


NIRMITI MICRO PROJECT EXHIBITION

Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara organized Nirmiti Micro-Project exhibition event on the behalf of Faculty of polytechnic on 09th November 2023. The Department of Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Polytechnic) encourages students of SY and TY class to participate actively in this exhibition. The aim of this event was to showcase the talents of students thereby inspiring them towards innovation in future. The judge for the event was Dr. N. M. Jamadar, HOD Electrical Engineering Department. There were total 20 groups that participated in the exhibition enthusiastically explaining the concepts and working of their exhibits.

Students were privileged to be guided by special guest Mr. Aditya Mutalik, (Exec. Committee Member of MAS (Manufacturers’ Association of Satara).  The winners of the event from Electrical Engineering Department are:

 


Industrial Visit  to NSL Wind Power Company

The department of Electrical Engineering (Polytechnic) had organized an Industrial Visit on 28th October, 2023 to NSL Wind Power Company, Sahyadrinagar, Tal. Medha, Dist. Satara. The students of SY and TY class were fortunate to be guided by the Executive Engineer Kiran Shinde.The visit was coordinated by Ms. K. V. Kamble and Ms. K. B. Kamble.
