Satara: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Yashoda Polytechnic, Satara, conducted a cleanliness drive at Ajinkyatara Fort on January 25, 2025, on the eve of Republic Day. This initiative, aligned with the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 first-year students.

The Satara Municipal Corporation extended support to the initiative by providing a garbage collection vehicle. During the drive, students collected waste from the fort premises, leaving the area clean and tidy. The activity was organized with the aim of encouraging students to recognize their responsibility towards society and nature while pursuing technical education.

NSS Coordinator Prof. Pratik Matkar enlightened the students on the importance of cleanliness, while Prof. Ranjit Khandekar efficiently managed the event’s coordination.

This social initiative by Yashoda Polytechnic fostered a sense of duty and awareness of cleanliness among students. The event was successfully carried out through the collective efforts of students and teachers, under the valuable guidance of the Principal and the Management.
